Ultrasonic gas leak detection for fast hydrogen leak detection

By responding to the leak noise, Gassonic’s ultrasonic gas leak detectors can improve response time from the F&G detection system and reduce influence from wind conditions and leak properties.

It hereby makes it possible for operators to reduce the risk of gas leak and fire ignition hazards associated with hydrogen.

Hydrogen is a combustible gas that is difficult to detect and easily ignitable on contact with open flames, electrical sparks, and static discharge. It is lighter than air and consequently challenging to detect in open, well ventilated areas.

Hydrogen is for example found in hydrocracking and hydrotreating processes or during catalytic reforming in refineries or other process facilities.
