The Gassonic Observer-H is a failsafe ultrasonic (acoustic) gas leak detector with the Senssonic™- integrated acoustic self-test to prevent unrevealed failures from occurring. Besides from a standard 4-20 mA analog output the Gassonic Observer-H has HART registrered interface, and two digital MODBUS interfaces. The Gassonic Observer-H is designed in full stainless steel with an integrated junction box. It is flame proof and certified for hazardous area installation.

Unlike traditional technologies the ultrasonic (acoustic) gas leak detectors are not affected by changing weather conditions and fast dilution of the gas cloud. Nor do they need an explosive gas cloud to build up. Instead, the acoustic gas leak detectors instantly detect gas leaks by reacting to the distinct ultrasonic noise that pressurised gas leaks generate. As a consequence, the technology may reduce the risk that hazardous situations will escalate into catastrophic scenarios.
The Gassonic Observer-H has a detection radius up to 20 metres from the detector at a leak rate of 0.1 kg/s.
